About the event

Resting with the Body: A Yoga Nidra Workshop for Pain Relief & Deep Body Awareness

Chronic pain, tension, and physical discomfort can leave us feeling disconnected from our bodies and weary in spirit. This gentle Yoga Nidra workshop invites you to rest deeply, soften your relationship with pain, and cultivate a sense of safety and compassion within your body.

Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep, is a powerful guided meditation practice that brings the body into deep rest while keeping the mind awake. Through body scanning, breath awareness, and soothing visualization, this practice helps release held tension and rewire the body’s pain response with care and curiosity.

This workshop is for anyone living with physical pain — chronic or acute — or for those who feel disconnected or cautious about being in the body. Whether you are healing from injury, living with illness, or navigating the emotional weight of pain, this practice meets you exactly where you are.

During this practice Kerry will also offer short personal energy healing Reiki treatments to each practitioner to assist in releasing any energetic blocks or suppressed emotions.

Please note: there is no yoga asana; all that is needed is for the practitioner to get comfy and listen to the sound of Kerry's voice guiding them the through various stages of Yoga Nidra which induce total calm within the mind and body. It is said that 30 minutes of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to 2-4 hours of sleep in the body.

Common Benefits to Yoga Nidra :

  • A calmer nervous system

  • The release of negative thought patterns

  • Help with insomnia, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and chronic pain.

Reiki is spiritually guided life energy known as Ki or Chi.  Ki is the non-physical energy used by healers. Chi flows through to harmonize imbalances that may be physical, mental or emotional. Using hands-on healing with light touch or above body hand placement (floating hands), this gentle, non-invasive modality can treat physical pain as well as depression, trauma, anxiety, stress, grief, and much more.
