Gentle Yoga with Meg Lotito

ABOUT THE CLASS :: Gentle/ Beginner yoga is a 1 hour class designed for those new to yoga or those looking for a softer gentler practice.  This class is open to all levels. The class might be well suited for you if you are returning to yoga after a break -- if you are new to the practice -- or if you have recently recovered from and an injury and your care provider feels yoga might be helpful in your recovery. This class is taught in a supportive nurturing environment in which students feel safe and comfortable practicing at their own pace.

Meg Lotito stepped foot into her first yoga class in 1999 and knew she had found her life calling: teaching yoga. In 2003, after graduating from her Bachelor's program in Psychology, she began her spiritual journey and immersed herself in teacher training, receiving her certificate through the Integral Yoga Institute in NYC. Continuing her studies, Meg pursued a Master's in holistic psychology in Cambridge, Massachusetts, believing in coupling psychology and yoga for a complete healing modality that encompasses mind, body, and spirit.

Returning to Staten Island, Meg felt compelled to study nursing, becoming a Registered Nurse. She strongly believes that stepping on the yoga mat is like stepping into a temple, a spiritual and personal time to embrace the present moment, the only moment we will ever have.
