About the event
Somatic & Restorative Yoga Series
Join us for a multi-week restorative yoga series designed to reconnect you with your body through the integration of somatic movement and restful postures. Each class begins with gentle somatic exploration and simple touch practices to awaken awareness, soften habitual tension, and restore ease of movement. From there, we transition into deeply supported restorative yoga poses that invite stillness, release, and replenishment for the body and mind.
This unique blend allows you to first move and sense into your body in a mindful, exploratory way, and then rest more fully in restorative shapes, supported by props and guided awareness. Together, these practices nourish the nervous system, increase mobility, and foster a deeper connection to yourself.
The series is structured to build gradually week by week introducing new somatic themes at the beginning of each class while layering restorative postures that complement the unfolding journey. You’ll be guided at a comfortable pace, cultivating resilience, ease, and embodied presence.
This series is ideal for anyone seeking a healing approach that emphasizes listening to the body, honoring its signals, and finding restoration through stillness. No prior yoga experience is needed just an openness to rest and reconnect.
Classes are held in our Tibetan shrine room sanctuary, a tranquil space of beauty and calm.
Props are limited, so we invite you to bring anything that helps you feel fully supported and comfortable for example, pillows, bolsters, or an eye pillow.
