at the New World Prep Charter School/Mt. Carmel Parking Lot, 285 Clove Road, corner of Castleton Avenue.
Join us for an outdoor celebration of the culture and heritage of Staten Island’s Mexican American community featuring face painting, yoga, and mask making for the kids; vendors, and wonderful Mexican food! AND, we are thrilled to announce a midday performance of the fabulous Mariachi Real De Mexico

Considered to be ambassadors of mariachi music and the best mariachi ensemble in New York City, Mariachi Real De Mexico, was founded in 1991 by Ramon Ponce Sr. and Ramon Ponce Jr. They have done countless public, private and special events in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden, Constitution Hall and many more.
The Tibetan Museum gratefully acknowledges the support of the NYC Council Cultural Immigrant Initiative Grantsprovided by City Council Member Joseph Borelli and City Council Member David Carr, enabling the museum to offer the Voices of Diaspora Program exploring five cultural heritages that have experienced diaspora, past and present.
