About the event
Join the JMMTA for a lecture and performance by baritone Anthony Turner, who will speak on Martin Luther King, Jr.'s commitment to non-violence and perform songs from the civil rights era. The program is part of the museum's series Global Resonance: Voices of Unity in Contemporary Society.
Turner has performed in solo recital, concert, opera, and musical theatre throughout the United States and Europe, and currently serves as a Professor of Voice at Wagner College, Staten Island. He is a member of Actors' Equity Association, the American Guild of Musical Artists, Opera Ebony, Inc., Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and a life member of the National Federation of Music Clubs.
