Volunteers & Interns

Museum Volunteers Yasmin Gaffar and Raymond Galazzo with Museum director, Meg Ventrudo, at the July 2014 Tibetan Twilight eventVolunteers are integral to the success of the Museum. We are currently seeking volunteers to serve as docents and assist with special events. Docents lead tours and provide information about the collection to visitors. Even if you’ve never been to Tibet, you can still be a docent as all docents are trained by Museum staff and have access to the Museum’s collection of books about Tibet.

Garden Volunteers are also needed. If you have a green thumb and a few hours to spare, we can always use assistance maintaining our gardens. Groups of volunteers are welcome to “Adopt a Garden” and tend to one specific area of the garden throughout the seasons.

Internships are available for college and graduate school students. We would like to acknowledge and thank Wagner College and the College of Staten Island for their support of our internship programs.
