Film Screening Summer Pasture

Description: Join us for an afternoon film screening of Summer Pasture , a feature-length documentary directed by Lynn True and Nelson Walker. The film chronicles one summer with a young family during a period of great uncertainty. Locho, his wife, Yama, and their infant daughter, spend the summer months in eastern Tibet's Zachukha grasslands, an area known as Wu-Zui or "5-Most" the highest, coldest, poorest, largest and most remote county in Sichuan Province. Locho and Yama must reconcile their challenges that threaten to drastically reshape their existence. The film is an extremely intimate and valuable portrait of a vanishing way of life across the nomad regions of the Tibet-Quinhai plateau. Films are fee with regular Museum admission of $6 Adults and $4 Students and Seniors.
